Transfer of credits may be granted to students in recognition of studies completed PRIOR TO ADMISSION to HKUST, provided that students' prior study is disclosed in their applications for admission. Students should submit credit transfer applications, if applicable, and transcripts for verification by the appropriate offices no later than one month after the commencement of the first regular term of study at HKUST.

It may also be granted to students in recognition of studies completed elsewhere other than HKUST at an appropriate level as recognized by the University.
